UPDATE: If you run into problems with your wheels being stiff and not turning very nicely - Zooper recommended that we use a silicon lubricant on the wheels. We did and now the wheels are back to turning like they should. We have a Zooper Waltz from a few years back and love it, so we took a chance on the Twist, despite the huge lack of reviews, when we needed a smaller, umbrella type stroller. I am so glad we did! For less than the really spendy Maclaren, it has all the features I want, and an important one that the Maclarens don't offer - a huge canopy that actually gives shade with the sun at any angle. Features: An adjustable footrest - my baby is 8 months old so I wanted some support for her legs. A huge canopy - you can pull it as far forward as you want (it doesn't pull as far when the seat is fully reclined for obvious reasons), and an extra section that zips out to make it even bigger (the canopy can touch the child's legs). There are so many different types of strollers available on the market and it can be very difficult to choose "the one". I hope that our story can help parents in their decision making process who may share similar needs. Background: We had gotten rid of our car shortly after moving to Boston (before our little one came along), so a stroller immediately became an integral component in our lives. We had started off with a Graco stroller that came with a large basket underneath the seat, which was frequently filled with items from a nearby grocery store. We enjoy walking around everywhere and consequently had placed various strains and serious mileage on the old stroller. Alas! During a casual stroll on one snowy evening, the metal shaft holding one of the front wheels broke into two pieces. After MacGyver-ishly "fixing" the broken shaft with whatever I could find in the toolbox, I immediately began searching the web for a new stroller. Selection process: In... 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful: By Bowens (Lebanon, KY) Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Zooper Twist Stroller (Baby Product)
The Zooper twist in coconut far exceeded my expectations! We have a 21 month old who is in the 95th percentile in height(36 in) and weight(33.5 lbs)...and has out grown two of his lightweight strollers. I was looking for something with a wider seat, taller headrest and taller handles for our pushing comfort(I'm 5'6 and my husband is 6'4'') ...and this zooper has all three. Our son fit comfortably in the seat with probably 2 1/2 inches still remaining on each side and had room to grow with the headrest. We were also beyond impressed with all the bells and whistles that came with the stroller. You get a sleeping bag that snaps on for cold temps and a rain cover for bad weather. Those items are usually things you have to buy extra totaling as much as $50, so it was a nice bonus. Plus the canopy litterally covers the whole stroller when fully extended...I've never seen anything like it. A flap folds down so he can see out, which he turned into a peek-a-boo game! It folds up...
