I like this stroller a lot, but now that I've had it for a 1.5 years, I've decided to edit my review with a few caveats prospective buyers should know about this model. First the good news: 1. It handles bumps, cobblestones, uneven sidewalks, and even off-roading in grass and somewhat rocky terrain like a champ. 2. Maneuvers beautifully around anything - indoors and out. I use it even to go shopping b/c it turns corners and goes around store racks so easily - even one-handed. I have a few complaints: 1. First, regarding how complicated it was to get the wheel tracking calibrated once they were on. The instruction manual is kind of difficult to understand and the accompanying illustrations are not helpful. 2. Considering the price of this stroller, I cannot see why BOB wouldn't just include a handlebar console, which is totally necessary. Seems a little cheap to me! 3. Before I bought the BOB, I purchased 5 other strollers, thinking each had a specific purpose. Now that I have the BOB, I am ashamed to have spent so much money on so many others... thinking (at the time) that the BOB was out of my price range. Not only is BOB an investment, it is worth every cent! It is so light and compact! It replaces both the other brand name, yet bulkier jogger I had, as well as the umbrella stroller! It comes apart easily for trips, thus replacing the airport/travel stroller I had, yet it handles smoothly on all types of terrain-- thus, replacing my "mall stroller" and my backpack stroller! What is perhaps most important for me, is that the BOB is very comfortable for my tall toddler; and will continue to be for up to 70 lbs! She has her own spot for drinks, adequate shade, and ventilation, and proper foot and back support. If you are wondering what will do the job for everything, the BOB is it. Yeah, it's a bit pricey but well worth it. It handles like a dream and turns on a dime. When I'm not moving and my son starts getting bored and fussy, I can just turn it around and around in place with only a couple of fingers. I'm so in love with our BOB that we use it every where and for every occassion and rarely does it get used for it's intended purpose - jogging. Pros: 1) Easy to assemble - no screws to deal with 2) Excellent maneuverability 3) Child seems comfortable 4) Huge sun canopy with a large peek-a-boo window on the top 5) Easy to fold up 6) It's no heavier than a standard stroller There are only two minor complaints I have on the BOB: 1) I wished there was a better mechanism to keep the BOB closed besides the velcro strap that you wrap around the handles. 2) Since I use the BOB every where, it can become top heavy if you hang bags from the handle of the BOB that it may tip... |
